Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg concerned over internet privacy

In a Facebook post on Thursday Facebook’s Mark zuckerberg expressed his concern over the US governments exploitation of the internet.

He states that recent reports of the governments use of the internet has left him feeling “confused and frustrated” and In a phone call to the US President Barrack Obama, He expressed his ‘frustration over the damage the government is creating’.

He goes on in his post “the US government should be the champion for the internet, not a threat. They need to be much more transparent about what they’re doing, or otherwise people will believe the worst”

Zuckerberg has been under a lot of pressure lately to get involved in the spying debate and has finally voiced his concerns publicly. He is the latest in a list of high profile figures hoping to put pressure on the governed for reform. Only recently the father of the ‘web’ Sir Berners-Lee expressed his desire to have the internet remain free and open.
