New TV series, Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey

The brand new TV science series ‘Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey’ premiers tonight on Fox.

The new series is a remake of the immensely popular 1980 series ‘Cosmos’ and features plenty of gorgeous CGI and Hollywood drama. The 13 part series is hosted by popular American astrophysisist Neil deGrasse Tyson and explores the history of science and the universe and the culture and politics that goes with it.

Surprisingly the series has been produced by Family Guy’s Seth Macfarlane and features celebrity voice overs such as Patrick Stewart and Macfarlane himself. The series aims to make science more attractive and hopes to reignite a feeling of wonder amongst its viewers.

Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey premiers tonight at 9pm on Fox and National Geographic. UK viewers will have to wait until March 16 at 7PM when the first episode airs on both National Geographic HD and Sky One HD.
